What gear does the Mythic clear pay?

What Is a WoW Cutting Edge Carry?

Cutting Edge is the Feat of Strength for defeating the current raid’s final boss on Mythic while the tier is live. It’s the top-percentile PvE line, held by a fraction of the playerbase in any season. In Season 2 that means all eight Mythic bosses of the Abyss, ending on Ula’tek. A cutting edge carry delivers the complete clear on your character. The roster brings the progression experience that normally costs a guild weeks of wipes. The armory then shows a line that can’t be earned retroactively — once the season closes, it’s closed.

The Mythic Line vs the Heroic One

Same family, different weight class. Ahead of the Curve is the Heroic final-boss achievement — the pug-raiding entry ticket. This one is the Mythic counterpart: several times harder, several times rarer, and the only line of the two carrying the season’s mount. Buyers stepping up from the Heroic version know what changes: the same raid, tuned for coordinated rosters instead of open groups.
