What Is PvP in TBC Anniversary?
Quick answerPvP in TBC Anniversary means rated arena in 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 plus battleground honor, and Arena Season 3 has been running since early September. Every character starts at 1500 rating. Ten games a week in a bracket earn arena points at the weekly reset, and the highest bracket counts.
Points buy Vengeful Gladiator's gear at item level 146. Rating gates the strongest pieces: Season 3 weapons ask for 1700 and shoulders for 2000. Honor from Eye of the Storm, Arathi Basin and the other battlegrounds buys older sets, and Season 2 Merciless pieces now sell for points with no rating at all.

How Long Does a TBC Arena Boost Take?
A TBC arena boost takes 1–3 days to reach 1800, 3–5 days to 2000 and 7–9 days to 2200, counted from the starting rating of 1500.
Gear and points run on a different clock. Arena points arrive once a week, so a weapon order takes about 20 days and a full arena set about 60 days no matter how fast the games go. Plan those orders early in the season.
Which TBC PvP Boost Should You Buy First?
Buy gear first if your character still wears raid or quest pieces, then buy rating. A geared character climbs faster and holds its rating after the order.
Honor is the easiest start. It buys resilience pieces that make the first rated games bearable, and battleground honor has paid much more since a hotfix in April. Players who already sit near 1700 should go straight for the weapon. Players who want to learn should book coaching instead of a pure climb.
Good to know: Self Play arena means you play your own character next to the booster. For that you need basic arena skill, must follow calls and must wear full Season 3 gear. Pure gear goals without rated play sit in the TBC Anniversary gear boost section.
