Raids are the core of Season of Discovery. The season opened with Blackfathom Deeps as a 10-player raid at level 25, then turned Gnomeregan into a 10-player raid at 40 and Sunken Temple into a 20-player raid at 50. At level 60 the classic raids returned in reworked form: a 20-player Molten Core with new tier sets and a new boss, followed by Onyxia's Lair, Zul'Gurub, Blackwing Lair, the Ahn'Qiraj raids and, later, the new Scarlet Enclave.
A WoW SoD raid boost puts your character into one of those raids with a roster that already knows every fight. You skip the guild search and the pick-up groups that fall apart at the first wipe, and you leave with the kills, the loot and any lockout-based progress for the week.
| Raid | Level | What you get | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blackfathom Deeps | 25 | A full clear of the 10-player raid | One raid run |
| Gnomeregan | 40 | A full clear of the 10-player raid | One raid run |
| Sunken Temple | 50 | A full clear of the 20-player raid | One raid run |
| Molten Core | 60 | A full clear up to Ragnaros, Tier 1 drops | One raid run |
| Zul'Gurub | 60 | A full clear of the troll city in Stranglethorn Vale | One raid run |
| Blackwing Lair | 60 | A full clear up to Nefarian | One raid run |
| Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj | 60 | A full clear of the smaller Silithus raid | One raid run |
| Temple of Ahn'Qiraj | 60 | A full clear up to C'Thun | One raid run |
| Scarlet Enclave | 60 | A full clear of the newest SoD raid | One raid run |
Besides the raids, the section has the Molten Core Attunement Boost and the Onyxia's Lair Attunement Boost, The Crystal Vale Raid Boost and the Prince Thunderaan Kill Boost, the Nightmare Grove Open Raid Boost, the Nightmare Incursions PvE Event Boost, and the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider, a rare mount from Gnomeregan.
Below 60, buy the raid of your level band. Each of the three leveling raids drops gear that lasts until the next cap, and they are short enough to run every week.
At 60, start with Molten Core. It drops the first tier set and the materials for both legendaries, and it is the natural first lockout for a new character. If your character has never been inside, add the attunement first, and the same goes for Onyxia's Lair.
Already geared from Molten Core? Blackwing Lair and the Ahn'Qiraj raids are the next steps, and Scarlet Enclave is the newest of all. Players chasing the Thunderfury quest step need Prince Thunderaan, which is why the Crystal Vale and Thunderaan cards exist on their own.
You pick the raid, pay, and the order goes to the highest-rated booster for that raid. The run is scheduled for the next free raid night after the weekly reset, played Piloted or with Remote Control, and you get a screenshot of the cleared raid at the end. Every other Season of Discovery service, from leveling to gold, is on the WoW SoD boost page.
The highest-rated booster is usually assigned within 15 minutes of payment, and your run is booked for the next raid night after the weekly reset.
Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair require attunements in Season of Discovery. If your character does not have them, order the attunement card first; the other raids need no attunement.
One full clear is done in a single evening. Gear sets take several weekly runs because drops depend on luck.
Higher-level raids, more loot for your character and Remote Control raise the total. Attunements and mounts are priced on their own cards.
