The TBC Anniversary Gruul's Lair boost clears both bosses of the raid, High King Maulgar and Gruul the Dragonkiller, with an experienced 25-player team. You pick a Loot Run or a Full Priority Run and the speed of your booking. The clear takes about one raid evening, and your place is set in the next scheduled run.

Choose the run type first: Loot Run is included, Full Priority Run costs more and reserves every drop your class can use for you. Then pick your faction and realm; the list covers Spineshatter, Thunderstrike, Nightslayer, Dreamscythe and Maladath for both factions.

Execution speed is Normal, Express or Super Express; the faster tiers cost more and put you in an earlier run. The method is Piloted, included, or Self Play at extra cost.

What Is Gruul's Lair in TBC Anniversary?

Gruul's Lair is a Phase 1 raid of The Burning Crusade, set in the Blade's Edge Mountains. It is a 25-player raid with only 2 bosses, which makes it one of the shortest raids of the expansion. The first fight is High King Maulgar and his council of four ogres, a test of tank assignments and crowd control. The second is Gruul the Dragonkiller himself, whose Growth stacks and Shatter punish any raid that stands too close together.

What makes the raid worth a weekly visit is the loot. Maulgar drops the Tier 4 shoulder token and Gruul the Tier 4 leg token, and Gruul can also drop Dragonspine Trophy, a trinket physical damage dealers keep for a long time. No attunement is needed, so a fresh 70 can join right away.

Drops are random, as in any raid, so a single clear may not drop everything you want. Many players book several weeks in a row to finish their Tier 4 pieces.

How Long the Gruul Carry Takes

With only two bosses, a clear fits easily into one raid evening. Normal speed places you in the next regular run, while Express and Super Express move you into an earlier one. The raid is played Piloted, by Remote Control or as Self Play, where you log in and join the group yourself.
