Think of Legacy as a second experience bar, but for your whole account. Finished challenges add points to it, and every character you roll, now or later, can draw on them.
A single character can put 16 points to work in its perk trees, named Adventure, Professions and Resourcefulness, for example to rest faster or gather more. The challenges available at launch add up to about 65 points. The total keeps climbing past that, and the total is what the reward track reads. Its last stop at 55 is the Reins of the Spectral Bear, a mount many players start the whole thing for.
| If you want | Order this | What it takes |
|---|---|---|
| Points from alts you would level anyway | Class Legacy | Roughly two weeks of play for each class taken to 60 |
| Points from your trades | Profession Legacy | A day or two for each craft taken to 300 |
| Quick points on one character | Dungeon Legacy | Short clears, about 20 to 90 minutes each |
| Raid points | Raid Legacy | A single clear of each raid once they open in December |
| Points while ranking up | PvP Legacy | A month or more of matches for the higher ranks |
| Exploration and the old questlines | Adventure Legacy | Planned around the level of your character |
| A reward, without the planning | Legacy Bundle | The route is planned for the tier you choose |
Start from what you already play. A raider who mains one character gets the most from dungeon and raid challenges, since they all land on the same hero. Someone with five alts on the list should look at class milestones first: each class you take to 60 is worth 3 points.
And if the goal is simply the bear, skip the maths. The bundle takes a target on the track and builds the order around it, from the small air rifle at 15 points up to the mount.
The points arrive on your account as each challenge is done, and you can watch the Legacy panel fill in real time. Your booster works Piloted or over Remote Control, posts a short update in the order chat after every session and finishes with a screenshot of the panel.
Perks are cheap to change. A respec starts at 1 silver, so moving points from a gathering perk to a leveling perk on your next alt costs almost nothing. That makes an early Legacy boost pay back on every character you create later.
Hardcore is the one exception to sharing. Points earned on a Hardcore character also count elsewhere, but Normal, PvP and RP points do not travel into Hardcore. Say which ruleset you build for before the first session. Rewards from the track are not mailed: you pick them up from Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet.
Clears themselves are sold on the WoW Forever raid boost page, and class milestones come along with leveling.
Your WoW Forever Legacy boost can start on launch day, November 4, for class, dungeon, PvP and adventure work. Crafting challenges follow about a week later and raid challenges from December 9.
The Reins of the Spectral Bear unlock when the account reaches 55 Legacy Points.
Yes. The points sit on the account, and each of your characters can use up to 16 of them in its perks.
Yes. List them in the order chat, or choose the bundle and the booster picks the fastest ones for your tier.
