An FFXIV MSQ boost plays the Main Scenario quests on your character, part by part, up to the Dawntrail finale in patch 7.56. You tick the story parts you still need, from A Realm Reborn onward. The booster starts within about 1 hour of payment.

The calculator has one checkbox per story part. Dawntrail (7.0–7.56) is ticked by default. Add A Realm Reborn (2.0–2.55), Heavensward (3.0–3.56), Stormblood (4.0–4.56), Shadowbringers (5.0–5.55) or Endwalker (6.0–6.55) if you have not finished them. Each part has its own price. A Realm Reborn costs the most, because its patch quests are long and spread across many zones.

Choose platform and region, then Piloted or Remote Control. Express execution starts the order ahead of the queue.

What Is the MSQ in FFXIV?

The MSQ, or Main Scenario Quest, is the story line that runs through every expansion of FFXIV and gates almost all other content. New zones, dungeons, trials, flying and even later jobs open only as you move through it.

It is also long. A Realm Reborn alone runs from level 1 to The Praetorium and then through dozens of patch quests before Heavensward opens. Shadowbringers takes you to Norvrandt, Endwalker ends at the edge of the universe, and Dawntrail sends you to Tural and on to Alexandria. Many players stop halfway and never come back. An MSQ boost closes that gap.

FFXIV MSQ Boost Options by Story Part

You buy the story in parts, and each part matches one expansion with its patch quests.

Story partPatchesStarts at level
A Realm Reborn2.0–2.551
Heavensward3.0–3.5650
Stormblood4.0–4.5660
Shadowbringers5.0–5.5570
Endwalker6.0–6.5580
Dawntrail7.0–7.5690

The official Story Skip on the Mog Station jumps over the story. This carry keeps it played instead: the quests, duties and rewards land on your character as if you had done them yourself.

How Long the MSQ Completion Takes

MSQ completion takes 1 to 7 days, depending on how many parts you tick. Dawntrail alone usually fits into 1 or 2 days. A run from A Realm Reborn to 7.56 sits at the long end. You see each finished patch in the order chat, with a screenshot when the last quest is done.

Good to know: the story does not level your job past what it needs. If your highest job is below the level a part starts at, add our power leveling first or ask in the order chat.

Buy the Dawntrail MSQ Boost Before Evercold

Evercold opens on February 23, 2027, and its story begins where Dawntrail ends. Buy the Dawntrail part now and your character is ready on day one. After the story, most players move on to the Occult Crescent or to a FFXIV raid boost. Other job and story services sit under FFXIV leveling. Methods: Piloted or Remote Control.

FAQ

When can the FFXIV MSQ boost start?

The FFXIV MSQ boost starts within about 1 hour of payment. The best-rated booster is assigned first and confirms in the order chat which quest you are on.

How long does the full MSQ take?

The full MSQ from A Realm Reborn to Dawntrail 7.56 takes up to 7 days. A single expansion such as Dawntrail usually takes 1 or 2 days.

Is the MSQ boost the same as the Story Skip?

No. The Mog Station Story Skip marks the quests as done without playing them. The MSQ boost plays every quest and duty, so your character also gets the experience, gil and rewards.

Which part costs the most?

A Realm Reborn costs the most, because it has the longest chain of patch quests. Dawntrail costs the least of the 6 parts, and ticking fewer parts always lowers the total.
