World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026, and its raids unlock five weeks later, on December 9. Three open on the same day, in three sizes: two brand-new raids and a returning one. All three are built for level 60, the permanent cap of this Classic Plus.
The Barrow Deeps — 10 players. A raid in the night elf barrows beneath Mount Hyjal, a sacred place for the Kaldorei and, in Warcraft lore, the prison that once held Illidan. It is the smallest of the WoW Forever raids and the natural first step for a freshly geared level 60 character.
Hyjal Summit — 20 players. A new raid set on the mountain in the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat. It is the center of the WoW Forever endgame: new tier sets drop here, and a legendary questline runs through it.
Onyxia's Lair — 40 players. The returning raid of the three and the only 40-player raid in WoW Forever so far. It keeps the full classic raid size, so it is the hardest of the three to organize and the one where a formed team matters most. Blizzard has not said whether the WoW Forever version changes the encounter, the loot or the entry requirements.
More raids are already on Blizzard's roadmap. Spring 2027 brings two new raids, one for 10 players and one for 20, along with a new legendary questline. Summer 2027 brings a revamped iconic raid and another new raid. Each one joins this page as another WoW Forever raid boost when it opens on live.
The sizes matter as much as the names. WoW Forever opens with 10, 20 and 40. The two smaller raids are easier to organize and still far harder than a five-player dungeon; Onyxia's Lair asks for forty players online at the same hour, which is the hardest thing a raid can ask for. Every size is a place where a Classic Plus raid carry saves time, and the 40-player one is where it saves the most.
Why Raiding Is the Bottleneck on a New Realm
A formed raid team clears an instance in one evening. Forming that team on a new realm takes weeks. That gap is the whole problem, and it has little to do with difficulty.
At the start of a realm everyone stands at the same gear level. Guild rosters fill with whoever arrived first, and a player who starts later waits for the next recruitment round. Pick-up groups form in chat and fall apart at the first wipe. It is the gearing loop seen from the other side: no roster means no raid, no raid means no raid gear, and no gear means nobody takes you.
World of Warcraft: Forever adds one more reason to raid early. There are no seasonal resets and no character wipes, and the endgame grows through gear, not levels. Tier pieces from Hyjal Summit and drops from The Barrow Deeps are the progression of a level 60 character, and they stay on it for as long as the game runs. - Loot run. A seat in the raid with agreed priority on the pieces you name.
- Tier set runs. Hyjal Summit, reset after reset, until the tier pieces you named are on your character.
- Reset package. The same raid every lockout until the slots you listed are closed.
- Legendary questline. Help with the Hyjal Summit legendary chain, scoped step by step once Blizzard documents it.
- Entry requirements. If a raid is gated behind a quest chain or reputation, the gate becomes part of the order.
Everything the run produces stays on the character under the agreed loot rule: your drops, the gold and the reputation. The raid itself runs on our team — players who raid together — not on a pick-up group assembled around your order. Full Clear, Boss Kill or Loot Run: Which to Order

Choosing is simpler than it looks. One item from one boss is a boss kill. Everything the raid holds this lockout is a full clear. Closing slots over time is a loot run, or tier set runs and a reset package when it takes more than one lockout. A WoW Forever raid carry of any type stands on its own: you do not buy the clear to get the boss, and you do not buy a package to get one run.
The same rule covers combinations. A full clear this lockout and a loot run for the two pieces that did not drop are two orders with two targets, and each closes on its own. Classic Plus raid boosting here is priced per target, not per hour in the instance.
Getting Ready for WoW Forever Raids
A raid seat is only as good as the character in it. Most level 60 characters reach their first raid in a mix of quest and dungeon gear, and the difference between that and a proper pre-raid set shows on the first boss. The late WoW Forever dungeons — Shaper's Terrace at 58–60 above all — are where that gap closes. A pre-raid order runs them until the slots are filled: WoW Forever pre-raid gear.
From there, raid gear is the next step. If the goal is a full best-in-slot list rather than a single run, the order combines raid loot runs with the other sources the list needs: WoW Forever BiS gear. Raiding also has a running cost — consumables, repairs and materials every reset — and many raiders pair a raid order with WoW Forever gold.
Self-Play in the Raid or Piloted
Raids are the one category where self-play is the main format. You take a seat in the raid, play your own character and pick up your drops yourself. The account never leaves your hands, and the kill is on your screen.
Piloted exists for reset packages, tier set runs and players who cannot be online at raid time. The team plays the character through the run, and the loot lands in its bags.

Can I buy a single boss kill instead of a full clear?
Yes. A single boss kill is its own order: the last boss, the first, or any one in between. You pay for that boss and its loot table, not for the clear around it. If the boss sits deep in the raid, the road through the earlier bosses is part of the run, and support explains how that works before you book.
How does loot work on a Classic Plus raid boost?
We agree the loot rule before the first pull, and it does not change during the run. On a loot run you name the pieces you want, and they go to you when they drop. On a full clear the same rule applies to every boss. Gold and reputation stay with the character. Nothing gets rolled off you by surprise.
Is a WoW Forever raid boost a GDKP?
No. A GDKP is an in-raid auction where loot goes to whoever bids the most gold on the spot. A WoW Forever raid boost has a fixed price and a fixed loot rule, both settled before the pull. Nobody bids against you inside the instance, and the piece you booked is yours when it drops.
Do I play my own character in the raid?
Yes, and for raids that is the default. Self-play means you take a seat in the team, play your own character and loot your own drops, with the account in your hands the whole time. Piloted is there for reset packages, tier set runs and players who cannot be online at raid time.
