Pick the boost method: Piloted is included, Self Play and Remote Control cost extra. Characters without Black Temple access need the BT + Hyjal Attunement Bundle, a paid add-on finished before the first raid.

What Is Madness of the Betrayer in TBC Anniversary?

Madness of the Betrayer is a physical damage trinket from the Illidari Council, the boss right before Illidan Stormrage in Black Temple. It is item level 141, unique and Bind on Pickup, so the only way to own it is to be in the raid when it drops.

Support confirms your schedule and checks Black Temple access. The team clears through the raid on your lockout and kills the Council. If the trinket drops, the order closes; if not, the next reset is booked automatically. You can follow each week in the order chat.

Because the Council sits near the end of Black Temple, every run also passes through the earlier bosses on your lockout. Tier 6 tokens and other drops that fall to your character on the way are yours to keep, so a long farm often fills more than one slot before the trinket shows up.

Boost Methods and Related Farms

The trinket boost runs Piloted, Self Play or Remote Control. Self Play means you are in the raid for every kill, so you should know the Council fight, where four bosses share one health pool.
