Professions in WoW Forever: What Blizzard Has Revamped

World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026, and professions are one of the systems Blizzard is rebuilding for it. The announcement promised revamps to professions alongside the honor system, and the developers put it plainly: the team is "doubling down on trade skills". Professions in this Classic Plus are no longer a side activity — they feed the social systems, the endgame and the long-term Legacy progress of every account.

Here is what is already known:

  • Skill cap 300. Primary and secondary professions go up to 300 skill. Each character has two primary professions and three secondary ones: First Aid, cooking and fishing.
  • The familiar trades. Alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting, engineering, leatherworking and tailoring appear in the Tradeskills menu, with herbalism, mining and skinning as gathering professions.
  • A revamped First Aid. First Aid is no longer only bandages. It crafts healing potions, cures and a First Aid Kit for camps.
  • Camping. A new social system where players build campsites in the open world and use their trade skills to add buffs for everyone at the fire.
  • Tradeskills in Legacy. Tradeskills are one of the six categories of Legacy Challenges. Skill milestones award Legacy Points, and a set of Legacy perks makes every profession faster and more rewarding.

More is on the way. Blizzard has said new profession content will be covered in detail later, and the roadmap lists profession updates for summer 2027. This page is updated as each change becomes official.

The New First Aid in WoW Forever

First Aid is the profession that changed the most in what Blizzard has shown so far. On top of the familiar bandages, a first aider in WoW Forever can now craft:

Item What it does
Healing potions Now craftable with First Aid
Woolen Tourniquet Cures bleed effects
Simple Poultice Cures diseases
Anti-Venom Cures poisons
First Aid Kit A camping kit that grants a buff equal to Power Word: Fortitude; made from Linen Bandages and Refreshing Spring Water

That turns First Aid from a profession every character picks up and forgets into one that matters in dungeons, in the open world and around a campfire. A First Aid leveling order takes the skill to the level you name and leaves the crafted potions, cures and kits in your bags.

WoW Forever Profession Boost Services

WoW Forever profession boost services cover every stage of a profession, each as its own order with a clear target:

  • Profession leveling. Any profession raised to the skill level you name, from the first point to the cap of 300.
  • Gathering professions. Herbalism, mining and skinning leveled, with every material gathered on the way kept.
  • Crafting professions. Alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting, engineering, leatherworking and tailoring leveled, including the materials the recipes need.
  • Secondary professions. First Aid, cooking and fishing, with the revamped First Aid recipes included.
  • Materials farm. Herbs, ore, leather or cloth farmed in the amounts you need for your own crafting.
  • Recipes and crafted items. Specific recipes learned and specific items crafted on your character, as soon as the recipe lists are official.
  • Legacy milestones. Skill milestones such as 150, 225 and 300 reached for the Legacy Points they award in the Tradeskills category.
  • Full set of trades. Both primary professions and all three secondary ones taken to 300 on one character.

Every Classic Plus profession boost is agreed before it starts: the profession, the target skill level and whether materials come from our farm or your bank. The order closes when that target is reached and confirmed with you.

Gathering and Crafting: How a Profession Order Works

Professions come in two halves. Gathering professions collect the raw materials; crafting professions turn them into items. A crafting profession is only as fast as the materials behind it, which is why most of the time in profession leveling goes into farming rather than crafting.

Order type What we do What you keep
Gathering profession Farm routes for herbs, ore or leather until the skill target The skill and every material gathered
Crafting profession Farm or buy the materials and craft through the skill levels The skill, recipes and items crafted on the way
Gathering + crafting pair Level both together, one feeding the other Two professions, materials and crafts
Materials only Farm the amounts you name The materials, delivered to your character

If you already have part of the materials, they go into the order and the price reflects it. If you want the materials farmed from scratch, the team handles the whole chain.

Skill Cap 300 and the Legacy Profession Perks

Every profession in WoW Forever tops out at 300 skill, and a character carries two primary professions plus three secondary ones. Reaching skill milestones — 150, 225 and 300 have been seen for engineering — awards Legacy Points the first time, and the Legacy system also holds perks that make professions faster across the account.

The pre-release build shows these Legacy profession perks (values may still change before launch):

Perk Ranks Effect per rank
Working Overtime 5 +4% chance to gain a skill-up from any primary, secondary or class-based tradeskill
Dedicated Study 1 Once a day, +1 skill in your lowest profession; at 300 in all five, 2–4 random Elemental Essence instead
Bountiful Harvest 5 20% more Scarce materials from mining, herbalism and skinning
Master Chef 5 10% chance for cooking recipes to create an extra result
Gourmand 3 Food buffs last 33% longer
Luremaster 2 25% chance for an extra fish while a lure is active
Field Medicine 2 Recently Bandaged lasts 5 seconds less (not in dungeons, raids or battlegrounds)
Performance Bonus 5% chance for 100% more Merchant's Favor when turning in a supply crate
Field Guide 3 8% shorter cooldown on adding camp features
Permanence 2 Benefits from resting at camp last 50% longer
Reagent Economy 1 Tier 1 camping features cost no reagents

For a boost, this changes the math. The first character to take its professions to 300 earns the Legacy Points and milestones, and every character after it levels faster with Working Overtime and Dedicated Study behind it. A WoW Forever profession leveling order on your main is therefore also an investment in every alt.

Professions, Camping and Legacy

In World of Warcraft: Forever, a profession pays off beyond its own recipes. Camping lets players build a campsite almost anywhere in the open world; other adventurers stop by and use their trade skills to craft something for the camp, granting everyone there a buff. The buffs are not instant — players sit at the fire for a while before they apply — so a character with the right professions is welcome at every camp on the realm.

Professions also count toward Legacy. Tradeskills are one of the six Legacy Challenge categories, skill milestones award Legacy Points, and camping has its own Legacy perks for shorter cooldowns and longer rest benefits. A leveled profession therefore adds to more than one character.

Why Order a Classic Plus Profession Boost

Profession leveling on a new realm runs into the same wall every time: materials. Every player wants the same herbs, ore and cloth in the first weeks, gathering nodes are contested, and auction house prices for early materials are at their highest. Leveling a crafting profession yourself means hours of farming for every stretch of skill points.

  Leveling it yourself Profession boost
Materials Contested nodes, expensive auction house Farmed by our team or from your bank
Time Hours of farming for each skill range Done while you play or rest
Result Skill points, eventually The target skill level, confirmed with you
Extras What you did not sell to pay for materials Materials, recipes and crafts kept

Professions are one part of a finished character. Mounts, reputations, class questlines and Legacy milestones are covered in our WoW Forever character boost services.

Piloted or Self-Play Profession Leveling

Piloted is the natural format for professions. Farming routes and crafting sessions do not need you at the keyboard, so our team plays the character on the agreed schedule, and the skill, materials and crafted items are waiting when you log in.

Self-play suits players who want to stay on their own character, for example with a gathering escort or materials delivered for you to craft yourself.

To book, we need the character, realm, region and faction, the professions and target skill levels, whether you supply materials, and the format. Materials cost gold on any new realm, and WoW Forever gold is the fastest way to cover them if you prefer to craft yourself.

When WoW Forever Profession Boost Starts

  • November 4, 2026. Realms go live, and profession orders placed before launch start on the first day.
  • First weeks. The most contested time for materials, and the time a boost saves the most.
  • December 9, 2026. Raids unlock, and crafted consumables and gear for raid nights come into demand.
  • Summer 2027. Profession updates on Blizzard's roadmap, added to this page as they arrive.

FAQ

What is a WoW Forever profession boost?

A WoW Forever profession boost is an order that levels a profession on your Classic Plus character to the skill level you name. It covers gathering and crafting professions and First Aid, cooking and fishing, with the materials farmed by our team or taken from your bank. The order closes when the target skill is reached and confirmed with you.

What changed in WoW Forever professions?

Blizzard has confirmed revamped professions, a new camping system that uses trade skills, and a Tradeskills category in Legacy Challenges. First Aid has been expanded with craftable healing potions, cures for bleeds, diseases and poisons, and a First Aid Kit for camps. More profession details are planned for later, with profession updates on the roadmap for summer 2027.

What is the profession skill cap in WoW Forever?

Professions in WoW Forever go up to 300 skill. Each character has two primary professions and three secondary ones — First Aid, cooking and fishing — and reaching skill milestones awards Legacy Points the first time.

What are the Legacy profession perks?

Legacy perks from the Legacy system speed up professions across the account. In the pre-release build they include Working Overtime (+4% skill-up chance per rank), Dedicated Study (a daily +1 skill in your lowest profession), Bountiful Harvest (20% more Scarce materials from gathering), Master Chef, Gourmand, Luremaster, Field Medicine and several camping perks. Values may change before launch.

What can First Aid craft in WoW Forever?

Besides bandages, First Aid in WoW Forever crafts healing potions, the Woolen Tourniquet against bleeds, the Simple Poultice against diseases, Anti-Venom against poisons, and a First Aid Kit for camping that grants a buff equal to Power Word: Fortitude.

Do I keep the materials and crafted items?

Yes. Every material gathered, every recipe learned and every item crafted during the order stays on your character. Nothing is sold unless you ask for it.

Can I use my own materials?

Yes. If you already have part of the materials, they go into the order and the price reflects it. If you want everything farmed from scratch, our team handles the whole chain from gathering to crafting.

How do professions connect to camping?

Camping lets players build a campsite almost anywhere in the open world. Other adventurers stop by and use their trade skills to craft something for the camp, granting everyone there a buff after sitting for a while. A leveled profession lets your character contribute to camps across the realm.

Is profession leveling piloted or self-play?

Mostly piloted, because farming and crafting do not need you at the keyboard: our team plays the character on the agreed schedule. Self-play options, such as materials delivered for you to craft yourself, are available too.

When can I buy a WoW Forever profession boost?

You can order now. Work starts on November 4, 2026, when World of Warcraft: Forever realms go live. The first weeks are the best time to order, because materials are most contested and most expensive right after launch.
