What Is the Codex of Chromie in WoW?

The Codex of Chromie is a time-travel scenario from World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary celebration. Chromie asks players to repair broken timelines at the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj, and each pass throws villains from older expansions at the group: Tichondrius, Ossirian the Unscarred and Kel'Thuzad.

The reason to repeat it is the currency. Every finished run gives Bronze Celebration Tokens, which the anniversary vendors exchange for rewards from past expansions, such as transmog pieces and mounts. Collecting enough for the bigger items means the same scenario many times over.

Each of the three villains comes from a different era of the game: Tichondrius is the dreadlord fought in Legion's Nighthold, Ossirian closes the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, and Kel'Thuzad rules Naxxramas. Meeting all of them in one short scenario is part of the anniversary appeal, and why many players run it far more often than the token count alone would need.
