What Is High-End Raiding in FFXIV?

Quick answer

High-end raiding in FFXIV means the group duties that ask more than story mode: Savage floors, ultimate fights, Extreme trials and the big field and alliance raids. In Dawntrail that covers the Arcadion tiers from M1S to M12S, Kefka in Dancing Mad (Ultimate), Enuo in The Unmaking (Extreme), the Forked Tower in the Occult Crescent and the three Walks of the Vana'diel series.

These duties hold the highest item level gear, the weapons, wing mounts like Wings of Nihility and titles such as Cruel Legend. They also need a fixed group, a lot of hours and patience with Party Finder. A raid carry gives you the clear and the rewards without the weeks of progression.

Which FFXIV Raid Boost Should You Buy?

Start from the reward. A mount hunter and a title collector end up on very different cards.

  • Gear for the current tier: Arcadion Savage, ideally several weeks in a row so the books add up.
  • A mount: Extreme trials for the Dawntrail wings, or M12S for the Lowrider T1RANT key.
  • A title that shows skill: Dancing Mad first, then FRU or the legacy ultimates.
  • Story and catch-up gear: the alliance raids, starting with Jeuno.
  • Occult Crescent progress: the Forked Tower.

Gear also unlocks the harder content. The ultimates need a savage clear first, so many players stack a savage tier and an ultimate in the same week.

04

Difficulty, Time and Play Method

Extremes and alliance raids are the fastest, usually 1 to 2 hours a clear and often started within 30 minutes. Savage and the Forked Tower run on fixed raid slots. Ultimates take the longest, 2 to 4 hours a clear.

Every raid offers Piloted or Remote Control. Self Play, where you play your own character inside the group, exists on every card here except the Forked Tower. Price follows effort: first clears, the newest fights and mount options cost more, while older tiers and repeat clears cost less.

05

How an Order Runs

You pay, and the order goes to the best-rated booster for that duty, usually within 15 minutes. You talk in the order chat, the group clears the raid, and the booster attaches a screenshot of the result before you confirm.

Good to know: savage and ultimate loot is weekly, and the reset comes every Tuesday. Book several weeks in one order and the runs line up after each reset on their own. With Evercold due on 23 February 2027, a finished tier now is the cleanest way to close out Dawntrail.

FAQ

Questions players ask

What does an FFXIV raid boost include?

An FFXIV raid boost includes the clear of the duty you choose, every reward that drops for your character and a screenshot of the result in the order chat. The cards cover Savage, three kinds of ultimate, Extremes, the Forked Tower and alliance raids.

Can I play my own character during a raid carry?

Yes, on every raid card except the Forked Tower. Self Play lets you join the group on your own character. Piloted and Remote Control are on every card.

Which FFXIV raid carry should I buy first?

Most players start with Arcadion Savage for gear, because the ultimates need a savage clear to unlock. For a mount, the Extreme trials are the faster first order.

How fast does a raid boost start?

Extremes and alliance raids usually start within 30 minutes. Savage, the ultimates and the Forked Tower start on the group's next raid slot, which the booster confirms in the order chat.
