Why Arena Points Are the Bottleneck of TBC Anniversary Season 3
Arena points in TBC Anniversary follow four rules, and every one of them is a wall. They are paid once a week, at the weekly reset — Tuesday on US realms, Wednesday on EU. A bracket pays only if you played at least 10 rated games in it that week; nine games pay nothing. How many arena points you get per week is set by your rating, from 541 at the bottom of the ladder to 2,477 at the top. Only your best bracket counts. And you can store no more than 5,000 at a time: whatever sits above the cap at the reset is gone.
Those points are the only currency the Vengeful Gladiator vendor takes. There is no other way to buy the Season 3 set or its weapons. So the currency cannot be farmed in an evening. It can only be earned across weeks, and the number of weeks is decided by the rating you hold while you earn it. That is exactly what a TBC Anniversary arena points boost sells: the weeks you do not spend. Call it an arena points farm, an arena points carry or Burning Crusade Anniversary arena points boosting — the product is the same. Our team plays the 10+ rated games every week in your bracket, at your rating tier, until the package is on your character. Below is how many arena points a week is worth, how long each package takes, and what the points actually buy.
How Many Arena Points You Get per Week
| Rating | 2v2 | 3v3 | 5v5 |
| 1500 | 844 | 977 | 1,111 |
| 1700 | 1,398 | 1,618 | 1,839 |
| 1900 | 1,768 | 2,047 | 2,326 |
| 2000 | 1,834 | 2,123 | 2,413 |
| 2200+ | 1,874 | 2,170 | 2,466 |
The table is Blizzard’s Season 3 formula, and it makes two things obvious. First, rating beats bracket. 1700 in 2v2 pays 1,398 arena points per week; 1500 in 5v5 pays 1,111. The bracket with the smallest multiplier wins. 200 rating on the steep part of the curve is worth more than the 24% gap between 2v2 and 5v5. Second, above 2200 the growth stops: 2200 pays 2,466 in 5v5 and 3000 pays 2,477. Rating past that point is for the shoulders gate and the Gladiator title, not for points. The curve is flat below 1300 too. The entry ladder pays 540 to 570 per week whatever you do, which is why a boost at the starting rating is the slow way to any package.
The rating tier you pick for the boost is therefore the number that matters most. Up to 1700 is the entry tier. 1701–2000 roughly doubles the payout per week. 2000+ is the ceiling, where a week is worth 2,413 in 5v5. For any rating and bracket the TBC arena points calculator gives the exact weekly figure and the weeks to a full set. It is the same math this card uses for its ETA.
How the Arena Points Boost Works: Package, Bracket, Rating Tier, Weeks
Four choices, then a weekly rhythm. Pick the package: 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 3,000 or 5,000 arena points. Pick the bracket: 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5. Pick the rating tier the games are played at, and the format: self-play, piloted or Remote Control. The calculator then shows the weeks. From there our team plays 10+ rated games in that bracket before every reset. The points land on your character when the reset passes, and we repeat until the total is reached. Nothing is delivered between resets, because nothing can be. The game pays arena points on that one day. A Burning Crusade Fresh Classic arena points boost is a schedule around that day, not a shortcut past it.
| Package | 2v2 up to 1700 | 2v2 at 1700+ | 3v3 at 1700+ | 5v5 at 1700+ | 5v5 at 2000+ |
| 1,000 | 2 weeks | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 2,000 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 1 |
| 3,000 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 5,000 | 6 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 |
Read the last row: the full 5,000 is three to six weeks depending on tier and bracket, never less. 5v5 is the fastest road, because it pays the whole base rather than 76% or 88% of it. 1700+ in any bracket is the tier where a week starts to count. Save Rating is for players who queue on their own between our sessions. With it on, the team keeps your rating inside the chosen tier rather than pushing past it, so your own games the next day start from the same place. Without it, the rating only moves up, which is what most buyers want. One more rule we apply without being asked. If the next payout would push you over the 5,000 stored cap, we stop a week early rather than let points burn at the reset.
What Your Points Buy: Vengeful Gladiator Season 3 Prices
| Slot | Arena points | Rating |
| Head | 1,550 | — |
| Shoulders | 1,245 | 2000 |
| Chest | 1,550 | — |
| Hands | 930 | — |
| Legs | 1,550 | — |
| Two-hand weapon | 3,110 | 1700 |
| Spell-power main hand | 2,610 | 1700 |
| Physical main hand | 2,175 | 1700 |
| Off-hand / Shield / Relic | 930 / 900 / 830 | — |
| Four pieces, no shoulders | 5,580 | — |
| Five-piece set | 6,825 | 2000 for shoulders |
| Set + two-hander | 9,935 | 1700 and 2000 |
Head, chest, hands and legs are ungated, and together they cost 5,580 arena points. The 5,000 package plus one more week covers all four — the realistic first goal of the season for most characters. Two entries on the vendor are gated. Every Vengeful weapon needs 1700 rating in any bracket; the shoulders need 2000. Points alone do not open the weapon vendor. If the weapon is the goal, order the Vengeful weapon boost, which delivers the 1700 rating and the weapon in one order. Or raise the rating first with a TBC arena rating boost and collect the points at the new tier. The order of purchases matters as well. Weapons cost the most and change the character the most, so the class guides put them first. Hands are the cheapest slot and the first armor piece; chest and legs follow, then head. A 2,000 package buys hands and chest in one go. A 3,000 package adds the legs, and the full 5,000 leaves the head one week away. Between the packages the math is linear — every 1,000 arena points is roughly one Vengeful slot below the weapon — so pick the package by the slots you want rather than by the largest number on the list. If the shoulders are on that list, plan the rating boost to 2000 into the same weeks, because the arena points farm keeps paying while the rating climbs.
Arena Points Boost vs Weekly Cap vs Rating Boost — Which One to Order
Three cards cover Season 3 arena, and they answer three different questions. You need a set amount of arena points — 2,000 for the chest and hands, 5,000 toward the four pieces. That is this card: the games are played week after week until the sum is on your character. You only need your 10 rated games done before this week’s reset, one week and nothing more. That is the weekly arena cap boost. You need rating for the 1700 or 2000 gate or the title. That is the arena rating boost, and points are not the product there.
The combination most players end up with is rating first, then points. A character taken from 1500 to 1700 earns 1,398 arena points per week in 2v2 instead of 844. The same 5,000 package drops from six weeks to four, and every week after the package keeps paying at the higher rate. If both are on the list, order the rating boost first and this one at the new tier.
Self-Play, Piloted and Remote Control at the Weekly Reset
A week of the boost is one session, timed before your region’s reset: Tuesday on US, Wednesday on EU. In self-play you queue with our players and play your own character. At 1500 to 1700 nobody needs damage from you — only the 10 rated games and defensives when they are called. Piloted means the team plays the session on your character at an agreed time. Remote Control puts a booster on your screen while you watch. Whichever you choose, the reset does the paying, so the timing of the session is the only thing that changes. Express speeds up the start of the first session. It does not shorten the weeks, because the game pays once per reset and no service can change that. If a week is missed on your side — a session skipped in self-play — that week simply pays nothing, and the ETA moves by one. We tell you before the reset, not after. If you want to hold the rating yourself once the package is done, TBC arena coaching is the next order, not another week of games.
Honor Off-Set and the Rest of the Kit
Arena points cover the Vengeful set; the rest of the kit comes from honor. The Vindicator off-set — bracers, belt, boots, rings, neck and cloak — is bought with honor and marks, without any rating requirement. It runs in parallel with the weeks this boost takes. Honor has no weekly reset and no cap that matters, which is why the off-set is usually complete before the arena set is. A TBC honor points boost fills it. The TBC PvP gear boost delivers the arena set and the honor set in one order, if you would rather skip both grinds at once. That order is the whole Season 3 kit — five Vengeful pieces, the weapon behind its 1700 gate, and the six honor slots — on one character, with the weeks of arena points inside it planned by the same table as this card.
