Gearing in WoW Forever: Why Level 60 Is Where the Work Starts
World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026, with a permanent level cap of 60. There are no seasonal resets and no character wipes, and Blizzard grows the game sideways: new raids, dungeons and rewards are added at 60 instead of new levels. For gear, that changes one thing that matters. Nothing you earn is thrown away by a reset, so every slot you fill stays filled, and the WoW Forever gear on your character is an investment rather than a rental.
It also means the work does not end at 60 — it starts there. Reaching the cap takes a character to the door of the endgame, not through it. The late dungeons drop the pieces a character needs before its first raid. The raids that open on December 9 hold new tier sets and a legendary reward. And each piece comes from a specific boss in a specific instance, dropping for one player out of the group when it drops at all.
That stretch — from the first level 60 run to the last slot on the list — is what a WoW Forever gearing boost takes off your hands. It is also the part of the game that keeps growing: Blizzard's roadmap adds two raids and two dungeons in spring 2027 and two more raids in summer 2027, so there is always a next list to fill.
What a WoW Forever Gearing Boost Covers
A Classic Plus gear boost fills the slots you name on your level 60 character, from the first pre-raid upgrade to the last raid piece. A WoW Forever gearing boost order covers:
- Pre-raid gear. The best set for your class and spec from the level 60 dungeons and crafting, slot by slot, ready for the first raid.
- BiS gear. Raid drops from The Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair, with priority on the pieces on your list.
- Tier set pieces. The new WoW Forever tier sets from the raids, one piece or the full set.
- Legendary progress. The legendary reward Blizzard has announced for the raids, as a target of its own once the full steps are published.
- Single items. One piece from one boss when one slot is all that is missing — the smallest Classic Plus gearing order we run.
- PvP gear. Rewards from the reworked honor system, added to the list as soon as Blizzard publishes them.

The path runs this way because each step makes the next one shorter. A character in a full pre-raid gear set survives longer, deals more damage and gets through raid bosses with fewer wipes. Once in the raid, drops come a few per boss and rarely for the slot you wanted first, so pre-raid pieces hold the empty slots until raid gear replaces them.
A Classic Plus gear boost can cover any single step. A character with its pre-raid set done goes straight to raid gear. One that already raids but is missing three slots gets those three from wherever they drop. A WoW Forever gear boost here means a list and a finish line, not a package you have to take whole.
Where WoW Forever Gear Comes From
World of Warcraft: Forever adds nine new dungeons and three launch raids. For gearing, the late part of that list matters most:

Blizzard has not yet published the full loot tables, so we do not list item names or drop chances here. What is known is enough to plan the order: pre-raid gear comes from the level 60 dungeons and crafting, and WoW Forever BiS gear comes from the three raids. Pre-Raid Gear or BiS Gear: Which Order to Buy
Pre-raid gear is the order for a character that has just reached 60. The team runs the level 60 dungeons and covers the crafted slots until every piece on your pre-raid list is in your bags. It is the fastest way from quest greens to raid-ready: WoW Forever pre-raid gear.
BiS gear is the order for a character that is ready for raids and wants the best item in every slot. It runs over several raids and several resets, with tier pieces, raid drops and crafted pieces, until no slot on the list can be upgraded: WoW Forever BiS gear.
If the character is not 60 yet, the climb comes first, and support can chain the orders so the gear list starts the day you reach the cap: WoW Forever leveling boost. Gold for crafted pieces and consumables is a separate order: WoW Forever gold.
Self-Play or Piloted Gearing
Piloted suits the pre-raid farm: the work is a series of runs through the same dungeons, and your presence changes nothing. Our team logs in on the agreed schedule and works down the list while you are away.
Self-play carry suits raid gear and single items, when you want a seat in the group, the drop on your own screen and the item looted by your own hand. - Spring 2027. Two new raids, two new dungeons and a new legendary questline extend the list.

Do I need to be level 60 before ordering WoW Forever gear?
