What Is the Base in ARC Raiders?

Quick answer

Your base in ARC Raiders is the part of Speranza that belongs to your raider. It holds the Workshop, where 7 stations craft your gear, the stash where loot waits between raids, and Scrappy, the rooster who scavenges materials while you're topside. Frozen Trail added the Raider Outpost, a 4-level project that unlocks the new Research Station.

Almost everything here costs materials from raids, and the costs climb steeply at the top. Gunsmith 4 and Refiner 3 even wait on the Outpost. That's why so many raiders have a strong level and a half-built base.

It also shows in every raid. A low Gunsmith means weaker guns, a small stash means selling good loot, and a level 1 Scrappy means fewer free materials. Fix the base and the whole loop of raid, craft and upgrade speeds up.

In Which Order Should You Build?

Order matters here, because some upgrades block others.

  1. Scrappy first. Every level brings back more materials after each raid, which helps every other step.
  2. The stash next, so the extra materials have somewhere to go.
  3. Then the Outpost, because Gunsmith 4, Refiner 3 and the Research Station all wait on it.
  4. Finally the Workshop stations, with the Outpost already in place.

Player projects run beside all of this. They're worth doing when a stage reward is something you need, and Soul's Offering from update 2.3.0 is the newest one open. Few players have finished it so far, so its stages are where most project orders land right now.

04

Hand-Over or Piloted

Scrappy, the Workshop and player projects offer Hand-over in raid. The booster brings the materials to you in a raid, and you do the upgrade at home. Stash and Outpost upgrades run as Piloted or Remote Control, since they are bought on your raider. Every order ends with a screenshot in the order chat.

Good to know: a strong base needs a raider who can use it. If your level is behind, look at ARC Raiders leveling services. All other services for the game start from the ARC Raiders boost page.

FAQ

Questions players ask

What should I upgrade first in my ARC Raiders base?

Upgrade Scrappy first in your ARC Raiders base, then the stash. Scrappy brings extra materials after every raid, and the stash gives them room.

Can I upgrade my base without sharing my login?

Partly. Scrappy, the Workshop and player projects offer Hand-over in raid. Stash and Outpost upgrades need Piloted or Remote Control.

Why can't I upgrade my Gunsmith to level 4?

Gunsmith level 4 needs the Raider Outpost from Frozen Trail. Raise the Outpost first, and the upgrade opens.

What is the Research Station?

The Research Station is a crafting station added in Frozen Trail, with 4 levels. Each level needs the matching Raider Outpost level.
