What Is WoW Venomous Champion in Midnight Mythic+
Venomous Champion is the top-end Mythic+ achievement of Midnight Season 2, earned by finishing the season with a rating in the top 1% of all players in your region. It awards the seasonal title and an exclusive mount. The reward follows the same rule as every Champion prize before it: one season, then gone. Season 2 opens August 18 (US) and August 19 (EU) with a fully rotated dungeon pool. The race starts from fresh timers for everyone — exactly when an early start counts double.
How High Is the Top-1% Cutoff
Top 1% is not a number — it’s a moving line. The cutoff tracks the regional ladder, climbs as the season matures, and settles only when the season locks. That’s why a single push rarely holds. A score that clears the line today can slip under it in the final weeks. Staying Champion is as much about defending your rating through cutoff swings as it is about hitting a peak once. We watch the projected line all season. Your score keeps a comfortable buffer above it, right through the close.
How the 1% Mythic+ Champion Boost Works
An organized Champion-tier team handles the whole climb — no flaky PUGs, no depleted keys, no rating quietly bleeding below cutoff. The carry banks score efficiently across the strongest affix weeks and the best-scoring dungeons of the rotation. The order completes at season end, once your rating is locked inside the top 1% and the title and mount are confirmed on your character.
Season 2 Mythic+ Reward Ladder
The road to the top 1% runs through every milestone below it. The full seasonal checklist comes bundled — nothing needs to be bought twice:
The Season 2 pool itself is new ground. Altar of Fangs joins Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale and Voidscar Arena, while King’s Rest, Ruby Life Pools and Temple of Sethraliss return.
The Season 2 Champion Mount Boost
If the mount is the goal, this is the same order. The Season 2 Champion mount is locked purely behind the cutoff — no farm, no vendor, no catch-up after the season ends, exactly as Season 1’s mount worked. The achievement and the mount are earned by one requirement. Book the carry for either, and the result is identical.
Play Options for Your Runs
Pick whichever fits how hands-on you want to be. Self-Play puts you in the group playing your own character with the team — be ready for top-key pace. Piloted hands the runs to a booster start to finish. Remote Control runs everything through secure software on your machine while you watch. Your manager confirms the best fit before the first key.
Why Players Buy a Seasonal Champion Boost
Two reasons, every season: the cutoff is brutally high, and the reward is gone for good when the ladder locks. You can grind a strong rating and still drop under the line in the final weeks if nobody is watching the ladder daily. A seasonal champion boost takes that gamble off the table. The title, the mount, every lower-tier reward and the portals land without you spending the back half of the season refreshing your score.
Season 1: Umbral Champion — Closed
Season 1’s version of this summit carried the Umbral name, with Umbral Ashes as its exclusive mount. That ladder has closed, and its rewards left with it. This page now covers the live Season 2 push — same mechanic, new banner over the summit.
