WoW Blue Proto-Drake Mount Boost

What You Get

• The Blue Proto-Drake mount in your collection
• Repeated Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle runs until it drops
• All gold and items from every run

Before We Start

• A max-level character on an active retail account
• Access to Wrath of the Lich King dungeons on that character

A Blue Proto-Drake mount boost farms Skadi the Ruthless in Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle on your character until the drake drops. Each run clears the dungeon's 4 bosses in a few minutes, so many attempts fit into one session. A booster is on your order usually within 15 minutes.

No calculator options here: the price covers as many Utgarde Pinnacle runs as the drop needs.

Choose Piloted or Remote Control. Remote Control, played through your own PC, is a little more expensive.

What Is the Blue Proto-Drake in WoW?

The Blue Proto-Drake is the exact mount Skadi the Ruthless flies during her encounter in Utgarde Pinnacle, a Wrath of the Lich King dungeon in Howling Fjord. Kill Skadi on Heroic, and there is a small chance the drake stays behind for you. It is one of the classic dungeon mounts of that expansion, and its pale blue scales are easy to spot in any city.

Being a dungeon drop rather than a raid drop is both the appeal and the problem. You can run it as often as you like, but the drop is rare, so the farm comes down to volume: dozens or hundreds of Skadi kills.

How the Blue Proto-Drake Farm Runs

The booster enters Utgarde Pinnacle on Heroic, clears the way to Skadi, kills her and checks the loot. Then the instance is reset and the loop starts again. Runs are short at current level, so the main limit is the game's cap on how many instances one character can enter per hour. The booster works within that cap and spreads the farm over sessions.

The drake can also drop when Utgarde Pinnacle comes up in Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking. When that event is active, those runs count toward the farm too.

What You Get When You Buy This Boost

When you buy the Blue Proto-Drake boost, one order covers every run until the mount drops. Gold and items from the dungeon stay on your character. The farm is played Piloted or by Remote Control, and the booster reports progress in the order chat and sends a screenshot when the drake is learned.

Proto-drake collectors often go further. The Violet Proto-Drake boost covers the holiday meta-achievement drake, and the Time-Lost Proto-Drake carry hunts the rare spawn in the Storm Peaks. For a raid drop from the same expansion, see the Mimiron's Head farm.

How Long the Blue Proto-Drake Carry Takes

No one can predict a rare drop. Some farms end in the first session, others need several days of runs. The booster keeps going until the mount appears, and you can pause the order in the chat whenever you want to play. All other mounts are listed on the WoW mount boost page.
