What You Get

  • Skinning raised to your target skill, up to 375
  • Every leather, scrap and scale skinned on the route, left in your bags
  • Skinning training at each rank on the way
  • A screenshot of your skinning skill when the order closes

Before We Start

  • A TBC Anniversary character with Skinning or a free profession slot
  • Level 58 or higher to hunt and train in Outland
  • A Skinning Knife in your bags, or room for the booster to buy one
  • Account access for Piloted or Remote Control

The TBC Anniversary Skinning boost takes your skinning up to the target you choose, with 375 as the cap, by skinning beasts on your character. All leather and scales stay in your bags. The full 1–375 order takes about 20–22 hours and starts around 15 minutes after checkout.

Pick your current skinning and the goal on the Skill slider. The final stretch costs the most, because level 70 beasts give the last points and every skinner in Outland hunts them. Skinning uses no materials, so there is no materials field.

Normal, Express and Super Express set the pace, and the faster two cost more. Choose Piloted or Remote Control.

What Is Skinning in TBC Anniversary?

Skinning in TBC Anniversary pulls leather and scales off dead beasts. Leatherworkers on your realm live off it. You skin your own kills or your group's, which means no detours while you level or farm. A beast has to be dead and looted first, and higher-level beasts ask for more skill.

Outland skinning yields Knothide Leather Scraps and Knothide Leather from almost any beast. Better targets give Thick Clefthoof Leather, Wind Scales and Nether Dragonscales, which leatherworkers buy for their top patterns.

Where the Skinning Boost Takes Your Character

The skinning boost follows the beasts by level, so the booster moves from old-world hunting grounds to Outland once the skill passes 300.

ZoneWhat the booster skins
Hellfire PeninsulaHelboars and other early Outland beasts
NagrandClefthoofs and talbuks for Thick Clefthoof Leather
NetherstormBeasts close to level 70 for the last ranks

Training comes from Moorutu in Thrallmar or Jelena Nightsky in Honor Hold. The whole order runs about 20–22 hours.

What You Keep After the Skinning Order

Everything skinned on your character during the order stays in your bags, so a Skinning boost ends with a stack of Outland leather to sell or to hand to a leatherworker. Progress is posted in the order chat, with a screenshot at the target skill.

Unlike the crafting cards, a skinning order needs no shopping list. The skill comes from the beasts the booster kills on your character, so no gold goes into materials and the leather is pure profit for you.

Good to know: five Knothide Leather Scraps combine into one Knothide Leather. Combine them before you list them on the AH, because leatherworkers search for the full leather.

Buy Skinning With Leveling or Gold

Buy the Skinning boost alone. Leatherworking for this character or an alt comes as a Leatherworking boost or in the profession kit, which levels crafting professions. Skinning fits well into a TBC Anniversary leveling boost, since beasts die on the way anyway. Compare with TBC Anniversary gold if selling leather is the plan. The TBC Anniversary professions page lists every trade.

FAQ

When does the Skinning boost start?

The Skinning boost starts when a booster accepts the order, usually about 15 minutes after payment.

How long does Skinning 1–375 take?

Skinning from 1 to 375 takes about 20–22 hours. A higher starting skill makes the order shorter.

Do I keep the leather from the Skinning boost?

Yes. All leather, scraps and scales from the Skinning boost stay on your character after the order.

Do I need a Skinning Knife for the Skinning boost?

Yes, Skinning in The Burning Crusade needs a Skinning Knife in your bags. If there is none, the booster buys one from a trade supplies vendor.
