Before We Start

  • A level 60 Season of Discovery character
  • An active game subscription

The SoD Prince Thunderaan boost takes your character into the Crystal Vale and defeats the Prince of Air, the boss tied to Thunderfury. You get a shot at his epic drops, such as Stormwrath and the Drape of the Windlord, and the kill counts toward your legendary quest. The run is scheduled in the order chat.

Order the kill and tell us your class and where you stand in the Thunderfury questline. If you only want his loot, say so; if you want repeat kills on later lockouts for a specific item, ask for them, as they cost more than one kill.

Gold and other rewards from the run stay on your character in every case.

What Is Prince Thunderaan in WoW SoD?

Prince Thunderaan is the Prince of Air, a lord of the elemental plane and the last obstacle on the way to Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker. In the original game he only appeared when a raid summoned him for the legendary quest. Season of Discovery changed that in Phase 5: Thunderaan now waits in the Crystal Vale, a raid instance for 20 or 40 players, with a full loot table of his own.

That makes him worth killing even without the legendary. His drops include Stormwrath, Sanctified Shortblade of the Galefinder and the Drape of the Windlord. For players who are collecting the bindings from Garr and Baron Geddon, the kill is also the step that brings the blade within reach. A SoD Prince Thunderaan boost covers both goals.

What You Get With the Thunderaan Kill

GoalWhat the boost gives
LootA chance at Stormwrath, the Drape of the Windlord and his other epics
ThunderfuryThe kill your questline needs, if you are at that step
ExtrasGold and materials from the run

The booster group knows the fight, so you can join and follow the encounter without learning it first. Tell the booster before the pull which of his items you need most, and the loot plan for your class is set in the order chat.

How Long the Prince Thunderaan Carry Takes

The kill is one short raid session. Most runs can be booked for the same or the next day. Because his loot is random, an item you want may take more than one lockout; repeat kills can be added to the order. The run is done Piloted or by Remote Control, with a screenshot of the kill at the end.

Buy the Kill and Finish Your Legendary

If you buy this boost while chasing Thunderfury, check your bindings first. The SoD Molten Core carry farms Garr and Baron Geddon for them. The Crystal Vale raid boost clears the whole instance, and the SoD Zul'Gurub run adds more Phase 5 gear. The SoD raid boost hub shows the rest.

FAQ

When can my Prince Thunderaan kill start?

A booster writes to you in the order chat right after payment, and the run starts at an agreed time, usually the same day or the next.

How long does the kill take?

One short raid session. Repeat kills on later lockouts take one session each.

Does the kill count for Thunderfury?

Yes, if your character is at the step of the questline that needs Prince Thunderaan defeated.

Is a specific item promised?

No. His loot is random, so each kill is a chance at the items. Repeat kills raise your chances and cost more.
