What Is Razorfen Downs in SoD?

Razorfen Downs is the burial ground of the quilboar at the southern edge of the Barrens, just before the road drops into Thousand Needles. The Scourge has taken over the barrow, and the lich Amnennar the Coldbringer rules its deepest hall. On the way down you meet Tuten'kash, Mordresh Fire Eye and Glutton, and on some runs the rare Plaguemaw the Rotting.

In Season of Discovery it was a favourite stop for Phase 2 pre-raid gear. Items like Arachnid Gloves, X'caliboar and Manslayer kept it busy, and Alliance players had to cross Horde land in the Barrens just to reach the entrance.

The gong event before Tuten'kash takes a few minutes of its own, which is part of every full run. Waves of quilboar and undead rush the party until the boss appears, and a team that has done it many times keeps your character out of trouble. If you are still levelling, the run also gives a solid chunk of experience, since every pack on the way down is cleared rather than skipped.
