What Is Alterac Valley Reputation in TBC Anniversary?

Alterac Valley is the large battleground in the Alterac Mountains, where two armies of 40 fight over towers, graveyards and the two generals at the ends of the map. The Horde fights for the Frostwolf Clan from the south, the Alliance for the Stormpike Guard from the north. Each faction rewards players who help its push across the valley.

The reward most players chase is the war mount at Exalted: the wolf from the Horn of the Frostwolf Howler or the ram of the Stormpike Battle Charger. Both are tied to this one battleground and cannot be bought any other way.

How the AV Reputation Boost Earns Standing

In Alterac Valley, reputation comes from objectives rather than from the result alone: towers and bunkers burned, captains and the enemy general killed, and quest turn-ins inside the map. The booster plays every game for those objectives.
