What You Get

  • Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, on your character
  • The Eye of Sulfuras from Ragnaros, farmed in Molten Core
  • The Sulfuron Hammer made and combined with the Eye
  • Hydraxian Waterlords reputation and gold earned during the runs
  • A chance at Tier 1 pieces from the same Molten Core clears

Before We Start

  • A level 60 Season of Discovery character that can wield two-handed maces, with an active subscription
  • Molten Core attunement done, or added to the order

A SoD Sulfuras boost gets Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, onto your character: the team runs Molten Core until the Eye of Sulfuras drops for you, then the 2 parts are combined into the legendary. Gold, Tier 1 chances and reputation from the runs stay with you. A booster is usually assigned within 15 minutes, and the first run follows the raid schedule.

Start by telling us what you already own. A character that needs both the Eye of Sulfuras and the Sulfuron Hammer costs more than one that already holds the hammer. Extra options, such as Tier 1 pieces from the same runs, add to the order.

The order is played Piloted or by Remote Control. Name your class and spec in the chat, so the team plans loot for the runs.

What Is Sulfuras in Season of Discovery?

Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, is the legendary two-handed mace named after the Firelord's own weapon. It is built from two parts: the Eye of Sulfuras, a rare drop from Ragnaros at the end of Molten Core, and the Sulfuron Hammer, made by a blacksmith. Put together, they form one of the most recognised weapons in the game, with fire damage on its strikes and a look that every raid notices.

Warriors, paladins, shamans and druids can all wield it. The difficulty is the Eye: it drops rarely, and in a normal guild it also has to win against every other two-hander in the raid. A SoD Sulfuras boost takes both problems away by running Ragnaros with a team that reserves the Eye for you.

What the Sulfuras Legendary Carry Includes

  1. Molten Core clears every week, with the Eye of Sulfuras reserved for your character
  2. Hydraxian Waterlords reputation from the raid along the way
  3. The Sulfuron Hammer made or sourced if you do not have it
  4. Both parts combined into Sulfuras
  5. Gold and other loot from the runs kept on your character

How Long It Takes to Buy Sulfuras

Because the Eye of Sulfuras is a rare drop, the order is counted in weekly Molten Core clears, not days. Some characters get it early, others need several weeks. While the team waits for the Eye, every clear still pays out: Tier 1 chances, epic drops for your spec, gold and Hydraxian Waterlords reputation. The highest-rated booster runs the order and reports each clear in the order chat, and a screenshot of the finished weapon closes it.

Sulfuras or Another Legendary

Sulfuras suits two-handed fighters. Tanks and dual-wielders often prefer the Thunderfury legendary boost, the one-handed sword from the same raid. If you want set pieces first, the SoD Molten Core gear boost runs the same bosses for Tier 1. Paladins can also follow the Hammer of the Lightbringer card. All gear options are on the SoD gear boost page.

FAQ

When does the Sulfuras boost start?

A booster is assigned in about 15 minutes, and the first Molten Core clear is booked with the next team run.

How long does it take to get Sulfuras?

It depends on when the Eye of Sulfuras drops. Some characters get it in the first weeks, others need longer; every clear is reported in the order chat.

Which classes can use Sulfuras?

Warriors, paladins, shamans and druids, the classes that can wield two-handed maces.

What makes the order cost more?

Needing both parts costs more than needing only the Eye, and extras like Tier 1 pieces add to it. Remote Control costs a little more than Piloted.
