Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake: Season 2’s Only Closing Door
Gladiator mounts are the one reward line in WoW where the door closes forever, every season, without exception. Raid mounts eventually become farmable, event mounts return each year, store mounts come back on sale. But of the 41 Gladiator mounts ever added since TBC, 40 can never be earned again. The Venomous Goredrake joins that list the day Season 2 ends. That’s what a Gladiator mount boost really buys: a timestamp. Riding the drake says you were among the best exactly when it counted, and no future patch can dilute that.
Honest note on how this works: the Gladiator mount cannot be bought, traded or earned any other way — it exists only inside the Gladiator achievement. A mount boost is, mechanically, a rating push to 2300 with 50 wins above it. There is no shortcut around the ladder, only professionals who climb it far faster than solo queue ever will. Anyone offering the mount “directly” is selling something that doesn’t exist.
What We Know About the Venomous Goredrake
Datamined from the Midnight PTR: Season 2’s mount is tied to the Gladiator: Midnight Season 2 achievement, with the matching Venomous Gladiator’s Tabard alongside it. Exact tinting and the season start date may still shift before launch, and we update this card the moment anything is confirmed. What won’t change is the pattern. When Season 2 goes live, the current Galactic Goredrake retires forever, and the Venomous becomes the only Gladiator mount in the game you can still earn.
How the Pre-Order Works
- Lock your slot — your place at the front of the Season 2 queue is reserved within minutes of ordering. If Blizzard shifts the season date, your slot shifts with it. The price stays locked.
- Pick a completion method — piloted with VPN protection, or remote control on your own PC, the safest format in boosting.
- Season 2 matures — we push — the climb starts the moment the ladder makes it efficient, pre-orders first. Mount, achievement, title and tabard land on your account, permanent and account-wide.
When the Push Actually Starts (Honest Version)
Nobody hands out Gladiator on launch day, and anyone promising that is selling a fantasy. Fresh ladders open compressed. Everyone starts low, MMR takes weeks to inflate, and forcing 2300 in that window burns games for nothing. The efficient climb begins once rating inflation kicks in. That’s when our teams push, and that’s the window your pre-order buys at the front of the queue. Regular orders placed mid-season wait behind every pre-order. Yours is already on the schedule when the window opens.
Need the Current Season’s Mount Instead?
The Galactic Gladiator’s Goredrake — Season 1’s mount — is still obtainable until Season 2 arrives. It’s covered by our Gladiator Boost, which handles the current season’s title, rating and mount in one push. This gladiator mount boost card is the Season 2 pre-order lane; that one is the “before the current door closes” lane. Both end at the same place: a drake 99% of players will never sit on.
