What You Get

  • The Lacerate rune learned on your Druid
  • The rune ready to engrave on your legs
  • A screenshot of Lacerate in your Engraving panel

Before We Start

  • A Druid character on a Season of Discovery realm
  • Your faction and level shared in the order chat

The SoD Lacerate rune boost gets the Lacerate rune learned on your Druid, the legs rune that gives Bear Form a stacking bleed with high threat. It stacks up to 5 times on one target, which is how bear tanks hold aggro in Season of Discovery. A booster starts on your rune shortly after you pay.

Nothing needs to be picked in a calculator here. Write your faction and level in the order chat after payment, and the booster plans the rune steps for your Druid.

Lacerate costs the same for every Druid; choosing Remote Control instead of Piloted adds a little.

What Is the Lacerate Rune in Season of Discovery?

Lacerate is a Druid rune for the legs slot, introduced in Phase 1 of Season of Discovery. It adds a Bear Form ability that tears the target open and leaves a bleed. Every new application adds a stack, up to 5, and the attack generates a large amount of threat.

In the original game, bear Druids had few tools to hold several mobs or keep threat on a single boss. Lacerate fills that gap and is a big part of why Druids became solid tanks in Season of Discovery dungeons and raids.

Why Bear Tanks Buy the Lacerate Rune Boost

  • Threat: Lacerate is built to generate threat, so damage dealers can open harder without pulling aggro.
  • Steady damage: the bleed keeps ticking while you use your rage on other attacks.
  • Pairs with Mangle: with the Mangle rune on your gloves, bleeds hit harder, which helps Lacerate as well.

Feral cat players sometimes skip it, since the legs slot also holds Savage Roar for cat damage. Many Druids collect both and switch based on their role for the night. Swapping a rune happens out of combat, so a Druid who tanks a dungeon in the evening can return to cat damage for the next quest without any extra cost.

What Happens After You Buy the Lacerate Carry

The highest-rated booster is assigned, usually within 15 minutes, and plans the rune steps for your faction. They carry out each step on your Druid until the rune is learned, then post a screenshot in the order chat. Engraving Lacerate on your legs is left to you and takes a moment. The booster can log in Piloted or connect by Remote Control, whichever you selected.

Buy the SoD Lacerate Rune Boost and Finish Your Tank Kit

Buy the boost on its own or as part of a full bear setup. The Mangle rune boost covers your gloves, and the Skull Bash rune carry adds an interrupt for dungeon pulls. All runes for every class are collected on the SoD runes boost page.

FAQ

When does work on my Lacerate rune start?

Shortly after payment: a booster is usually assigned within about 15 minutes and starts right away.

How long until the rune is learned?

That depends on your faction and level. You get an estimate in the order chat before the booster begins.

Can I use Lacerate outside Bear Form?

No. Lacerate is a Bear Form ability, which is why it is mainly a tank rune.

Is there anything that raises the price?

Only Remote Control, which costs a little more than Piloted. The rune itself is the same for all Druids.
