A SoD battleground boost puts a PvP booster on your character in Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin or Alterac Valley until your goal is met: a number of wins, marks of honor or a block of honor. Reputation with the battleground factions grows along the way. The booster is assigned in about 15 minutes and queues the same day.

This card has no fixed option list. Add it, choose Piloted or Remote Control, and write your goal in the order chat: which battleground, and how many wins, marks or how much honor. A bigger goal or a harder battleground means more games and a higher cost. Remote Control costs a little more than Piloted.

What Is a Battleground in SoD?

Battlegrounds are instanced PvP maps where two teams fight over an objective. Season of Discovery has the three from the original game: Warsong Gulch, a 10-player capture-the-flag map; Arathi Basin, a 15-player fight over five resource nodes; and Alterac Valley, a large battle between the Stormpike Guard and the Frostwolf Clan. Each game pays honor and a mark of honor for that battleground, and more for a win.

Marks and reputation are what most players are after. The battleground factions sell gear, and their quartermasters trade marks for rewards, while the honor counts toward your PvP rank.

SoD Battleground Boost Goals

You set the target, and the SoD battleground boost runs until it is reached. Typical goals:

Games are played Piloted or by Remote Control. The booster plays the role that wins games for your class, flag carrier or defender in Warsong Gulch, node guard in Arathi Basin, and pushes objectives in Alterac Valley for the bonus honor.

How Long the Battleground Carry Takes

Time depends on queue length, the battleground and the size of the goal. Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin games are short, while Alterac Valley takes longer per game. A modest goal fits in a day or two; a large reputation target can take a week. The highest-rated booster takes the order and reports results in the order chat.
