The PoE 2 Trial of Chaos boost gets your Ascendancy points through the Ultimatum, anything from a single step up to the complete set of 8. The final step means 10 rounds and a fight with The Trialmaster. Within about 15 minutes a booster is on the order, and the expected end time shows up in the order chat.

Choose the league and a line under Trials: a single step (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Trial) or a range (1st–2nd, 1st–3rd, All 4 Trials, 2nd–3rd, 2nd–4th, 3rd–4th). Of the single steps, the 4th Trial costs most, and longer ranges cost more. Runes of Aldur Hardcore is the priciest league line.

Express execution under Add-ons raises the order to top priority. Pick Self Play, Piloted or Remote Control, and add a Live stream to a Piloted run if you want to watch.

What Is the Trial of Chaos in Path of Exile 2?

The Trial of Chaos gives Path of Exile 2 characters their Ascendancy points in Act III through the Ultimatum format: you live through round after round, and every modifier you take stays for the rest of the run. An Inscribed Ultimatum is the key, and the first one drops from Xyclucian, the Chimeral during the campaign.

No deaths are allowed. Die in round 9 and the run is over, key included. Besides Ascendancy points, the trial is where Soul Cores come from, so many players return to it long after their tree is full.

How Many Rounds Each Ascension Takes

Each ascension asks for more rounds, and the last one adds a boss on top.

That fourth step is the classic wall. A build has to carry every stacked modifier through 10 rounds and then beat a boss without a single death.

How the Booster Plays Your Trial

The booster plays the rounds and picks modifiers that the run can handle. Self Play keeps you in the party. Piloted and Remote Control mean the booster plays your character. Roughly 15 minutes after checkout a booster joins the order and tells you how long the range will take. When the last round or The Trialmaster is done, you get a screenshot of the Ascendancy points and confirm.

Good to Know: Check Your Tree Before Picking a Range

Look at your Ascendancy tree before you pick a range. With 6 points spent, the 4th Trial alone is enough. Ordering 3rd–4th Trials would pay for a step you already have.

Buy the Ultimatum Carry, Then Plan the Next Step

A character that keeps dying in late rounds often has a gear or tree problem, and a build check finds it. New Ascendancy points also make it a good time to pick from our PoE 2 builds.
