What Is Gearing in MoP Classic?
Quick answerOnce a character reaches 90 in Mists of Pandaria Classic, its strength comes almost entirely from item level. PvP and PvE gear run on separate tracks. PvP pieces are bought with Honor Points and Conquest Points earned in battlegrounds and arenas, and Conquest has a weekly cap, so a full set takes many weeks of steady play. PvE pieces drop from heroic dungeons and raids, where the difficulty you clear decides the item level you walk out with.
A gear boost shortens that climb. Instead of farming points or waiting for raid drops week after week, you get a ready set on your character and can play the content you actually came for.

Which MoP Gear Set to Choose
The Honor set is the entry ticket. It is the quickest way to stop dying in seconds in battlegrounds and gives a fresh 90 a fair start before rated play. If you are new to MoP PvP or gearing an alt, start here.
The Conquest set is the competitive one: item level 496 with a 498 weapon. It is what you want for rated arena and battlegrounds, where every point of item level shows in long matches. Because Conquest is capped each week, this is the set that saves you the most time.
The Elite set has the same item level as the Conquest set but unlocks the elite look tied to rating. Choose it when appearance on the ladder matters to you as much as stats.
For PvE, gear does not come as a set but as raid loot. A normal Mogu'shan Vaults run is the first step; heroic runs and the later raids push you towards 509. The MoP Classic raid boost section lists every raid and dungeon run, and a Mogu'shan Vaults carry is where most fresh characters start.

On the PvP gear card you pick the set, the play method and the speed. Piloted and Self Play cost the same, Remote Control costs a little more. Express and Super Express move your order ahead and cost more than Normal. The order goes to the highest-rated booster, and you confirm the finished set from a screenshot.

Which set should I buy for rated arena?
The Tyrannical Gladiator Conquest set. It gives the highest item level available for PvP; the Elite set has the same stats with the elite appearance.
How long does a PvP gear set take?
It depends on the set and the speed you choose. The Conquest and Elite sets take longer than the Honor set because of the weekly Conquest cap; Express and Super Express shorten the wait.
Do I need to be level 90?
Yes. The PvP sets and Pandaria raid gear are made for level 90 characters, so level first if you are not there yet.
