The WotLK Utgarde Pinnacle boost takes your character to the top of Utgarde and kills all 4 bosses, from Svala Sorrowgrave to King Ymiron. Plan on about 2–3 hours on Normal or Heroic. You arrange the start in the order chat.

The card has no calculator. In the order chat, name the difficulty and any Heroic achievement you want, for example the timed Skadi feat, so the group can plan the route around it.

The boost is done Piloted or by Remote Control. Heroic, and Heroic with achievements, are the larger orders.

What Is Utgarde Pinnacle in WotLK?

Utgarde Pinnacle is the upper half of the Vrykul fortress in the Howling Fjord, a separate dungeon that sits above Utgarde Keep. Here King Ymiron rules the Vrykul who have sworn themselves to the Lich King. It belongs to the final group of Wrath of the Lich King leveling dungeons, so a Normal run comes late, near level 80, and Heroic was one of the tougher five-player instances of the expansion.

The appeal is variety. Each of the 4 bosses plays differently, the Skadi encounter is a gauntlet fought partly on a proto-drake's flight path, and Heroic adds well-known achievements like Lodi Dodi We Loves the Skadi, which asks for Skadi dead within 3 minutes of starting the gauntlet.

Bosses in the Utgarde Pinnacle Carry

• Svala Sorrowgrave — a Vrykul turned Val'kyr who ritually sacrifices a player mid-fight unless the channelers are stopped.
• Gortok Palehoof — the beastmaster, who releases empowered animals from their cages one by one before stepping in himself.
• Skadi the Ruthless — rides the proto-drake Grauf; the group runs the gauntlet and fires harpoons to drag him down.
• King Ymiron — the final boss, who calls on the spirits of fallen Vrykul kings during the fight.

Both difficulties include all four, and everything that drops for your character stays with it.

Heroic Pinnacle is a common goal for characters that have just reached 80 and want a run with harder bosses than the early Northrend heroics. The Skadi gauntlet is where unprepared groups fall apart, which is why most buyers leave it to the booster team.
