What Is the Black Temple Attunement in TBC Anniversary?

Black Temple is Illidan's fortress in Shadowmoon Valley and the end raid of Phase 3. To pass its gate, a character needs the Medallion of Karabor, the reward of a long quest line for Akama and his Ashtongue. The story moves from Shadowmoon Valley into Shadow Labyrinth and The Arcatraz, then into three raids, and closes with a scripted event at the temple gates.

It is the longest attunement of The Burning Crusade. Many characters stall on a single raid step, because a guild that never cleared Serpentshrine Cavern or Tempest Keep cannot finish it.

Behind the gate wait 9 bosses, from High Warlord Naj'entus to Illidan Stormrage. Players who join a new guild in the middle of a phase often need this key first, because raid leaders ask for it before they send an invite.
