A WotLK Utgarde Keep boost clears the Vrykul stronghold in the Howling Fjord: Prince Keleseth, the Skarvald and Dalronn pair, and Ingvar the Plunderer. It takes about 1–2 hours on Normal or Heroic. The start is arranged in the order chat.

No calculator settings here. Write Normal or Heroic in the order chat after you pay, and list any Heroic achievement you want on top of the clear.

Your character is played Piloted or by Remote Control. Heroic needs a level 80 character and is the bigger order; Normal is the quick one.

What Is Utgarde Keep in WotLK?

Utgarde Keep is the first dungeon most players reach after landing in Northrend. It stands in the Howling Fjord, a fortress of the Vrykul warriors who have joined the Lich King, with undead and proto-drake handlers filling its halls. The instance is compact, three encounters long, and works as the entry point to Wrath of the Lich King's dungeon line.

On Normal it is a leveling stop with useful early loot and quests. On Heroic at level 80 it turns into a fast run for level 80 gear, the Heroic achievement and the dungeon's own feats, such as On The Rocks for Prince Keleseth.

What You Get With the Utgarde Keep Carry

EncounterWhat happens
Prince KelesethA San'layn prince who traps players in frost tombs and raises skeletons
Skarvald the Constructor and Dalronn the ControllerA pair of Vrykul fought together; the first one killed returns as a ghost
Ingvar the PlundererThe final boss, who rises again in an undead second phase

Every encounter is covered on both difficulties, and anything that drops for your character stays with it.

Buy the Utgarde Keep Boost: How Long It Takes

This is one of the shortest dungeons in Northrend, so the order takes about 1–2 hours from group setup to the final screenshot. Choose a start time in the order chat; the highest-rated booster available at that time takes it. Piloted and Remote Control are both on offer for this Howling Fjord run.

Normal opens from level 68, early enough to run the keep right after the first quests in the fjord. A level 80 character skips straight to Heroic, where the trash hits harder, Keleseth's frost tombs need fast breaking and Ingvar's second phase punishes a group that ignores his big swings. The booster group plays all of it, and you only watch the loot come in.

Where the Northrend Dungeon Route Goes Next

After the keep, the usual route continues to the Nexus boost in Coldarra and the Azjol-Nerub carry in the Dragonblight. Later, the Drak'Tharon Keep run takes over. The full list of instance services sits on the MoP Classic raid boost page.

FAQ

When can my Utgarde Keep run start?

At the time you set in the order chat. A booster is assigned shortly after payment, and short dungeons like this one often run the same day.

How long does the boost take?

About 1–2 hours, group setup included. The dungeon has only 3 encounters.

What level do I need?

Level 68 or higher for Normal and level 80 for Heroic, on a MoP Classic character.

Is Heroic worth it over Normal?

If your character is 80, yes: Heroic gives better loot and the Heroic achievement. It is also the larger order of the two.
