TBC Phase 3 Pre-Orders

TBC Phase 3 adds two Tier 6 raids to Burning Crusade Fresh Classic: Black Temple and Mount Hyjal, along with their attunement chains and a new BiS gear ceiling. Both raids sit above Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep in the progression order, so entry depends on clearing the tier below and finishing the attunement work first. A pre-order books each piece now and schedules it for launch week.

Mount Hyjal is a Tier 6 raid inside the Caverns of Time, where your group defends Nordrassil across waves of Scourge before facing Archimonde. It is a long, wave-based instance rather than a short boss ladder, which is why raid nights there run longer than a comparable Tier 5 clear. Pre-booking a Hyjal Summit Raid Boost reserves a launch-week group, and the attunement can be finished in advance so the first run is the raid itself, not the unlock.

Black Temple is the Tier 6 raid in Shadowmoon Valley that ends at Illidan Stormrage, the source of the Warglaives of Azzinoth. It carries the highest gear ceiling in Phase 3, and its early bosses gate the tier sets that most specs build around. A pre-ordered Black Temple Raid Boost secures a launch-week slot, with the attunement chain cleared beforehand.

Attunement is the single biggest reason to pre-order rather than wait: both Tier 6 raids require access chains that run through earlier raid content, and those chains cannot be rushed on launch day. Players who start attuning after the phase opens typically lose the first raid week entirely, while an attuned character walks in on day one. Both chains can be booked now as a Hyjal Summit attunement and a Black Temple attunement, or bundled with the raid runs themselves.

Phase 3 resets the best-in-slot list: Tier 6 sets, Black Temple and Hyjal drops, and the crafted and badge pieces that pair with them. Gearing early matters more in a short phase than a long one, because the window to actually use those items before the next tier is measured in weeks. Targeted upgrades are booked through the BiS Gear Boost, and both raids can be taken together through the TBC Raids Bundle.

A pre-order locks the price on the day you book and reserves a slot in the launch-week schedule, which is the period when demand is highest and groups fill fastest. Phase 3 opens September 1 on US realms and September 2 on EU. Four things a pre-order buys you:

• Locked price. The rate you book at is the rate you pay, regardless of what launch demand does to pricing.
• Launch-week priority. Pre-ordered runs are scheduled before the queue opens to new orders.
• Attunement finished first. Access chains cleared ahead of the phase, so day one is a raid night rather than a prerequisite grind.
• Clear on launch, not weeks behind. Tier 6 loot has full value at the start of a phase and less of it at the end.

Zul'Aman is expected later in the Anniversary cycle and is not part of this Phase 3 pre-order.
