Mount and Achievement rewards from Nullaeus Boss in Midnight
In the experience of gamers currently grinding the Midnight expansion, capping out your solo progression is severely bottlenecked until you take down Nullaeus.
Beating him on the hidden difficulty rewards the highly coveted Arcanovoid Construct mount and the Lighting the Dark achievement, granting “The Ominous” and “Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Nullaeus” titles.
Based on actual practice, he also casually drops 30 Myth and Hero crests that do not count toward your weekly cap. This is a massive injection of player power. From what you can see in-game, the boss is brutally overtuned. Walking in blind will guarantee an instant wipe. In my view, the damage is spiky and unforgiving, but you do not need Mythic raid gear to win. Players are dropping him day one at item level 245 by just playing smart and abusing companion mechanics.
Pushing high-tier difficulty runs to unlock this boss can severely drain your free time and sanity while running Delves in WoW Midnight. A professional Service Provider can handle this brutal grind for you via Delves Boost Service, utilizing secure, efficient account boosting to clear the prerequisites and secure the Nullaeus kill and get the mount while you are at work.
Nullaeus Boss Tactic Step-by-step Guide in WoW Midnight
Nullaeus is a long, grueling Nemesis Delve encounter in WoW Midnight. You need a specific setup and a flawless understanding of his health percentage triggers. And yeah, the rewards are worth it. Titles, mounts, and a solid chunk of crests that don’t even fully count toward your cap. That’s a huge value for solo play.
Here is the exact breakdown of how to prepare and execute the fight.
Valeera Sanguinar Setup and Combat Curios
Your companion setup matters more than people think. You want Valeera Sanguinar leveled as high as possible, ideally level 45, and set strictly to the Healer role. For most players, healer Valeera is the safest option. She handles dispels automatically, especially for Devouring Essence, which removes a lot of pressure. That alone saves runs.
Nullaeus spams a nasty magical dot called Devouring Essence that will rot you to the floor, but Healer Valeera aggressively dispels this on cooldown. Furthermore, she drops health orbs during the fight. Do not grab them all at once. Stagger your pickups to maintain a rolling heal-over-time effect.
For her gear, Use Porcelain Blade Tip for damage spikes. It procs often and helps shorten dangerous phases.
Pair it with the Mandate of Sacred Death — this one is insane on high HP bosses. Percent damage adds up fast.
If you’re running DPS yourself, healer Valeera is almost mandatory. Tank Valeera works, but it slows the fight and increases risk later.
Nullaeus Core Mechanics and Imploding Strike
Throughout the entire fight, environmental void beams will slice the room into thirds. Nullaeus has three abilities you simply cannot ignore. Keep your eyes on the purple streaks tracing the floor and constantly side-step the active lane.
For tanks, Nullaeus hits with Imploding Strike. This skill is the tank buster. Even non-tanks feel it if mechanics overlap. Always face the boss and keep mitigation active. Turning your back here is basically griefing your own run.
Devouring Essence is a nasty DoT. With healer Valeera, it gets dispelled automatically. Without her? It becomes a real problem
You must maintain active mitigation like Shield Block or Ironfur. Do not ever turn your back on him, or this strike will one-shot you. Regardless of your class, whenever he casts Call of the Void, you must kick it. Missing this interrupt ends the run instantly.
The 75% Phase: Razorshell Ravagers Adds
At 75% health, the boss goes immune and channels for about ten seconds and the fight actually starts. He summons two Razorshell Ravager adds. The room splits into sections, and void beams sweep across it. Not fast — but enough to mess you up if you tunnel vision. The adds immediately jump out and attempt to stack a brutal bleed attack on you – Jagged Rip.
Spacing is your best friend here. Back up completely. If you stay 15 yards away from them, they will target Valeera and put the bleed stacks on her instead. She can handle it, but that alone reduces pressure massively.
Nuke these bugs immediately before Nullaeus wakes back up, or you will be tanking both the boss and the adds at the same time. Kill at least one quickly. Leaving both alive when the boss returns is how runs end.
The 50% Phase: Spitting Ticks and Gravity Wells
In this phase Nullaeus goes immune again at 50% health and you’ll face multiple small adds applying stacking poison.
This time, he spawns seven Spitting Tick mobs. These guys stagger-cast a nasty stacking poison. One stack? Fine. Four stacks? You’re in trouble.
You need to gather them up and lock them down with AoE CC stuns like Shockwave to reset their casts. In my view, this phase is more about control than damage. Nuke them with a huge cleave.
Simultaneously, a black hole gravity well spawns and bounces around the walls. It exerts a massive pull radius. Stay on the opposite side of the room. If it sucks you in, you take fatal shadow damage. Keep distance. Always track its movement.
The 25% Enrage Race
At the 25% mark, a single caster add Enslaved Voidcaster that spawns in the center. It spams shadow bolts and drops a massive circle called Shadow Crash. Dodge the swirly on the ground, but do not waste kicks on this guy. Keep your interrupts for the boss. Nullaeus will grow massive, turn red, and gain a permanent, stacking enraged buff – Curse of Hesitation. The damage ramps aggressively.
Stack Valeera’s healing orbs properly. Don’t grab it all at once. Space them out to maintain a constant heal-over-time effect. If done right, you feel almost unkillable for a while.
This is an all-out DPS race. You rotate defensive abillities non-stop. Big cooldowns first, then smaller ones layered together. If you run out — you die. Pop everything you have. Smash your Void-Touched Drums, commit your defensive cooldowns, and keep an Algari Healing Potion ready to survive the final stretch.
Tip: Always grab your campfire buff. It’s free stats — no reason to skip it.
Use healing potions. Seriously. It’s basically an extra life.
Cheap consumables are fine. Don’t waste gold chasing min-max.
Also, don’t forget you can stack Valeera orb healing. That’s one of the strongest sustain tools in the fight.
