A SoD cooking boost takes your Cooking skill through the range you choose, up to 300. Cooking is a secondary profession, so it never costs one of your two primary slots. A booster usually logs in within an hour of payment.

Give the booster your current Cooking skill and the target in the order chat. A longer range costs more, and the climb past 225, which needs Artisan training, is the slowest part of the order.

Raw meat or fish already in your bank can go in first; just say where it is. The boost runs Piloted or by Remote Control.

What Is Cooking in SoD?

Cooking is one of the secondary professions of Season of Discovery, next to Fishing and First Aid. Any character can learn it on top of two primary professions. A cook turns meat, fish and other ingredients into food that restores health and, more importantly, grants the Well Fed buff: extra stamina, strength, agility, intellect or mana regeneration for a long stretch of play.

That buff is why raiders and PvP players keep Cooking high. Buff food is expected in organized raids, and a character who can cook its own never has to buy it or wait for a guildmate.

Raid Food You Can Cook After the Boost

With Cooking near 300 and the right recipes, the classic Well Fed foods become available, for example:

• Grilled Squid — agility for hunters, rogues and feral druids.
• Nightfin Soup — mana regeneration for healers and casters.
• Smoked Desert Dumplings — strength for warriors and other melee.
• Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops — stamina for tanks and PvP.

Many of these recipes come from vendors, quests or drops rather than trainers. The skill boost makes them usable; you pick up the recipes you want.

Buy the Cooking Boost With Artisan Training

Cooking stops at 225 until you complete the Artisan quest from Dirge Quickcleave in Gadgetzan. If your range goes past 225, the booster handles that step inside the same order, so you never get stuck at the Expert cap. Training past 50 needs character level 10, and higher tiers need more levels; the booster checks before starting.

How Long the Cooking Carry Takes

The time depends on the range and on ingredients. The first tiers are short; the last 75 points take the longest. Since fish is one of the main ingredients, many players pair this order with the SoD fishing boost, and the SoD first aid boost completes the set of secondary professions.
