The developers have just shared details of a new PvE event that awaits players in the upcoming update 10.2.7 – “Dark Heart”. The Changes and highlights of the New MoP Event in WoW 10.2.7
- Access to the event will only require paid playtime – there is no need to purchase an add-on or make any other purchases. Players without playtime will be able to play it on a trial/veteran account up to level 20. The mode will be played in the client of modern WoW.
- Character development in this mode will be accelerated and upon reaching certain levels, players will have access to new locations, scenarios, dungeons and raids (see the table in the full post below).
- Event characters start at level 10 on the start location, where the dragons of the Infinity pack, along with Eternos, will introduce them to the game. Event characters are created in the normal character select menu (additional boxes will be unlocked for this) and have a special icon that sets them apart from the rest of the characters. All characters will be turned into regular characters after the event is over
The item system will be overhauled for the event, and players will be able to earn new rewards for literally every activity – completing quests, opening chests, defeating creatures and bosses, and so on. Some items will be customizable, adding additional powerful and diverse properties to them with the help of various gems (examples in the note below). - Among other things, players will receive an artifactual Cloak of Infinite Potency, which increases its characteristics as the character level increases. At the same time, this cloak will be shared per account and all alternate characters in the event will have the most advanced version of it from the main character to speed up the pumping.
- By participating in the event, players will be able to obtain special achievements (which will be turned into great feats upon completion of the event), ranks, transmogrification, and previously unavailable colors of vintage vehicles.
- Any item obtained, players will be able to turn into a special currency – Bronze, which is necessary to strengthen the current equipment and purchase additional decorative rewards, including class sets, means of transportation, toys and other goods from Mists of Pandaria, which are difficult or impossible to obtain in the regular game.
